Kate is an experienced Board Director and CEO, and a leader in innovation policy. Kate has been the Chair of RNA Australia since April 2025. She is also a Director of Essential Energy, a Trustee of the Powerhouse Museum group, a Director of the Tech Policy Design Institute, and a Director of Amplify.
Prior to joining RNA Australia, Kate led an independent review of the NSW innovation system. She has also served as the CEO of the Tech Council of Australia, the peak body representing Australia’s tech ecosystem. Before this, Kate spent 10 years in senior roles in consulting, including serving as a Managing Director at Accenture, a Partner at AlphaBeta, an innovative Australian economics and analytics company, and as a consultant at McKinsey & Company. Kate has also worked in the federal public service, at Network Ten, and for the Australian Industry Group leading technology policy.
