Overview of RNA Australia’s Manufacturing Facility.
RNA Australia is at the forefront of Australia’s RNA innovation ecosystem, providing state-of-the-art GMP manufacturing capabilities through our Pilot RNA Manufacturing Facility in Macquarie Park, NSW. We serve as the central hub connecting research, industry, and government. Our facility, operated in collaboration with Aurora Biosynthetics, is designed to accelerate the development and production of RNA-based therapeutics, vaccines, and delivery technologies.
Operational from 2026, the facility supports end-to-end manufacturing for applications in health (e.g., mRNA vaccines and therapeutics), agriculture (e.g., RNA pesticides and crop protection), and biosecurity (e.g., rapid-response countermeasures). We prioritise GMP compliance to ensure high-quality, scalable production suitable for clinical trials and commercialisation. Reserved access is exclusively available to university researchers and NFPs at discounted rates, while broader ecosystem support is open to all participants.
Core Manufacturing Capabilities
Enable development of GMP grade RNA therapeutics, vaccines and related technologies primarily for clinical trials.
Our integrated approach provides all these capabilities under one roof which minimises risks, reduces timelines, and enhances efficiency. Key capabilities include:
